Tandym Group is seeking A/R Collections Specialists for several remote opportunities with a client in California. These roles are focused on performing A/R follow-up, appeals, and denials for Commercial and Government account collections.

Responsibilities:
The A/R Collections Specialist will be responsible for:
- Conducting A/R follow-up on inpatient claims aged 120 days and older
- Creating and following up on appeals
- Working through denials from start to resolution
- Managing collections with Commercial (e.g., LA Care, Blue Cross) and Government payers (e.g., Medicare, Medi-Cal)
- Utilizing multiple EMR/RCM systems for collections activities
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in A/R collections
- No specific degree required
- No specific certifications required
- Strong knowledge of claims collections and follow-up procedures
- Experience in a hospital inpatient environment
- Familiarity with handling commercial and government collections
- Excellent customer service skills
- Proactive and metrics-driven approach
- Ability to manage complex claims and high-dollar collections
Desired Skills:
- Experience with collections activity specific to California
- Experience working with Independent Physician Associations (IPAs)
- Familiarity with the Vispa tool for A/R collections
- Previous training or lead experience
