A medical services company in New York City is looking to add a new Assistant Program Director to their team in the Bronx. In this role, the Assistant Program Director will ensure quality care and oversee the functions of the program according to regulatory bodies and accreditation requirements.
About the Opportunity:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Assignment Length: Ongoing (Contract to Hire possibility)
- Shift: Days
- Schedule: Monday to Friday (alternating weekends)
- Hours: 9am to 5pm
Responsibilities:
- Assist in the everyday management of the residences and supervise Community Residence staff
- Implement policies and procedures, noting deficiencies and needed changes
- Monitor and evaluate program performance, reporting results to the Administrator
- Prepare program reports
- Oversee administrative operations, including incident reporting
- Evaluate, counsel, and discipline staff as needed
- Maintain accurate daily residence documentation
- Participate in quality assurance reviews and investigations
- Lead staff developmental meetings; attend departmental and development meetings
- Coordinate resident care and monitor progress
- Support admissions, discharges, and census management
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 3 years of experience in Social Services and some supervisory experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in the Human Services field
- Previous experience in a Supervisory role
- General knowledge of Organization, Community, and/or Social Service resources and programs
- Ability to respond to after-hour calls for program management and building emergencies
- Highly organized, motivated self-starter
- Excellent time management skills
Desired Skills:
- Master’s Degree in the Human Service field
- Licensed Master’s Social Worker (LMSW) or eligible for credentials within 6 months of hire or Licensed Mental Health Counselor (LMHC)
