A health services network in New York City is seeking a licensed Psychiatric Nurse Practitioner to join their growing clinic in Brooklyn as their new Associate Medical Director.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: 5 days a week
- Setting: Hybrid (2 days onsite; 3 days remote)
Responsibilities:
- Provide psychiatric and administrative services (approximately 10% of time to be spent on administrative/leadership responsibilities).
- Support Clinic Director in all aspects of psychiatric care including evaluation and treatment for children, adolescents and adults, medication, medication assisted treatment, crisis, etc
- Manage a caseload of 100–150 clients, with potential to grow
- Provide psychiatric evaluations, medication management, and MAT
- Treat individuals with co-occurring psychiatric and substance use disorders
- Deliver care via telehealth and in-person visits (especially for controlled substances)
- Collaborate with and support two other NPs; offer consultation and clinical guidance
- Participate in team meetings and help improve clinical programs
- Maintain compliant documentation for Medicaid and Medicare
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of experience in an Outpatient Behavioral Health role/setting
- Bachelors and/or Master’s Degree
- Licensed PMHNP in NY
- Active DEA registration
- Enrolled as a Medicaid and Medicare Provider in NY State
- National Provider ID Number (NPI Number)
- Experience with underserved populations and direct service to children, adolescents and adults living with serious and persistent mental illness
- Experience prescribing buprenorphine and naltrexone
- Experience with dual diagnosis and MAT
- Experience working with children/adolescents
