A leading technology solutions provider is seeking a Full Stack Java API Developer for a remote opportunity. This role involves developing and enhancing JAVA APIs using AWS native applications, specifically for Medicare beneficiaries.
About the Opportunity:

- Schedule: Core Business Hours (EST)
- Hours: 6-month contract
Responsibilities:
The Full Stack Java API Developer will be responsible for:
- Designing and developing JAVA APIs with AWS applications for Medicare workflows.
- Collaborating within an agile team to deliver software components.
- Providing expertise in AWS Web application and API development, testing, and enhancement.
- Developing CI/CD pipelines for automated AWS deployments.
- Documenting solutions and creating user stories via Jira.
- Collaborating with Operations for performance optimization.
- Creating front-end components using Java, JavaScript, SpringBoot, React or similar languages.
- Developing database entities like Amazon RDS, DynamoDB, and Flyway.
- Conducting peer reviews of application code.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of experience in full-stack development and API development on AWS.
- BS or advanced degree in Computer Science, IT, or related field.
- AWS Certified Developer - Associate or AWS Solution Architect – Associate preferred.
- Expertise in CI/CD tools like GitHub, Jenkins, Maven, etc.
- Strong proficiency in Java, Spring Boot, and API REST architectures.
- Experience with AWS databases such as Amazon RDS and DynamoDB.
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team-oriented environment.
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
Desired Skills:
- Experience with program languages like Groovy, Python, Bash, Go.
- Healthcare IT experience preferred.
