A clinically integrated network actively seeking licensed Breast Imagers
to join their growing team in the Brevard County area.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday-Friday standard business hours - also open to part time
- Call: No call or weekends
- Setting: Outpatient imaging center or hospital based
- Employment: Hospital-employed practice
- Compensation: competitive base compensation + bonus opportunities
Responsibilities:
The Breast Imager will:
- Supervise and interpret various breast imaging studies, including mammograms, ultrasound, magnetic resonance imaging (MRI), and other specialized breast imaging techniques
- Meeting with patients to discuss their imaging results, explain any findings, and answer questions
- Perform or supervise minimally invasive procedures, such as breast biopsies
- Ensuring the quality and accuracy of breast imaging procedures
- Participating in quality improvement initiatives to enhance the accuracy and efficiency of breast imaging services within their department or institution
- Often collaborating with Breast Surgeons, Oncologists, and other medical professionals to provide comprehensive care to patients with breast conditions or breast cancer
- Participate in clinical research and weekly tumor boards if interested
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Unrestricted FL Medical license (or the ability to obtain one)
- Completion of an ACGME or AOA accredited Radiology Residency + fellowship in Breast Imaging
- Board Certified / Eligible in Diagnostic Radiology
- Minimum of 2 years experience
