A nonprofit services organization on Long Island is actively seeking a new CASAC Counselors to join one of their residential substance use treatment programs in Suffolk County.
About the Opportunity:
- Assignment Length: Ongoing
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8am to 5pm
- Setting: Residential Substance Use Treatment
- Orientation: 1-day paid training (held monthly)
Responsibilities:
- Facilitate individual, group, and family counseling sessions
- Develop and update treatment and recovery plans
- Provide psychoeducation and support for relapse prevention
- Maintain documentation and participate in team meetings
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in Behavioral Health and/or Substance Use Treatment
- High School Diploma / GED
- Active CASAC-2 or CASAC-T
Desired Skills:
- Associate’s and/or Bachelor’s Degree
- Working knowledge of Electronic Medical Records (EMRs)
