A recognized Retail organization in Rutherford, NJ is seeking a seasoned Change Management Consultant to Lead end-to-end change management activities across multiple IT projects.

About the Opportunity:

  • W2 ONLY - NO Corps or 3rd parties
  • Assignment Length: Long-term contract
  • Setting: hybrid role in Rutherford, NJ with on-site presence as needed, especially during the initial phases

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and execute stakeholder assessments to identify key impacted groups
  • Conduct change impact assessments to evaluate organizational effects and readiness
  • Design and implement communication strategies tailored to diverse stakeholder groups
  • Create and manage training plans to support adoption and minimize disruption
  • Collaborate with project teams, business units, and leadership to align change efforts
  • Monitor and report progress of change initiatives to the Sr. Director
  • Identify and escalate risks or resistance impacting successful change adoption
  • Own the change management workstream and ensure alignment with project timelines
  • Facilitate feedback loops and adjust plans based on stakeholder input and project evolution
  • Support post-implementation reviews and continuous improvement efforts

Qualifications:

  • 5+ years of experience in change management, preferably within IT or digital transformation projects
  • Proven track record managing change for complex initiatives such as system migrations or enterprise rollouts
  • Strong understanding of change management methodologies (e.g., Prosci, ADKAR, Kotter)
  • Ability to think critically and apply change management principles within the context of Avolta’s Change Management Methodology
  • Exceptional communication and stakeholder engagement skills
  • Experience developing and executing training and communication plans
  • Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment
  • Strong analytical skills to assess impacts and measure success
  • Comfortable presenting to senior leadership and managing up
  • Certification in Change Management (e.g., Prosci, CCMP) is a plus
