A leading psychiatric facility in West Seneca, NY is currently seeking a dedicated RN for the Child & Adolescent Inpatient Mental Health unit. This role offers an opportunity to make a meaningful impact in a therapeutic environment dedicated to supporting young people.
About the Opportunity:
- Setting: Inpatient Child & Adolescent Mental Health
- Shift: 3pm-11:30pm (1 position) & 11pm-7:30am (2 positions)
- Schedule: 5 shifts per week, including rotating weekends
- Hours: Full-time
- Location: West Seneca, NY
Responsibilities:
The RN – Child & Adolescent Inpatient Mental Health will be responsible for:
- Providing direct nursing care to children and adolescents
- Conducting health assessments and implementing nursing care plans
- Executing medical regimens prescribed by healthcare providers
- Supervising Licensed Practical Nurses and direct care staff
- Maintaining comprehensive documentation and record keeping
Qualifications:
- 1 year of clinical experience as a Registered Nurse
- Active New York State Registered Nurse license
- Current American Heart Association (AHA) BLS certification
- Knowledge of psychiatric nursing practices
- Strong organizational and communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment
- Compassionate and empathetic approach to patient care
Desired Skills:
- At least 1 year of experience in a behavioral health setting
- Experience with children and adolescents in a mental health capacity
- Bilingual abilities are a plus
