A Bronx-based substance use treatment provider is currently seeking a Clinical Supervisor to oversee clinical operations within an OASAS 820 certified residential program. 

About the Opportunity:
Location: Bronx, NY
Shift: Daytime flex but need to be flexible to do evenings and weekends. 
Setting: OASAS 820-certified residential substance use disorder treatment program
Population: Adults in substance use disorder treatment
Team Surrounding them: Clinical team of counselors and subordinate staff; works closely with Program Director
 

Responsibilities:
The Clinical Supervisor will be responsible for:

  • Supervising and evaluating designated staff, including annual reviews and goal setting
  • Overseeing recruitment, training, and performance management in collaboration with Program Director
  • Assigning cases, reviewing admissions and discharges
  • Ensuring delivery of high-quality residential substance use services
  • Monitoring and observing group, workshop, and seminar facilitation
  • Leading clinical and administrative meetings
  • Conducting utilization review, incident management, and quality assurance
  • Ensuring compliance with documentation standards and external reporting
  • Advocating for clients and resolving grievances
  • Providing crisis intervention and client care when needed
  • Preparing reports and assuming operational responsibilities when the Program Director is unavailable
  • Leading clinical quality improvement initiatives
  • Representing the organization at public and community events

Qualifications:

  • 2+ years of administrative and clinical experience in substance use or human services
  • 1+ year of experience in a clinical supervisory role (preferred)
  • Graduate degree in Social Work, Psychology, Counseling, Human Services, or related field (preferred)
  • Qualified Mental Health Professional credentials (e.g., LCSW, LMSW, LMHC, CASAC, etc.) (preferred)
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills
  • Computer proficiency (Microsoft Word, Excel, Outlook, EHR systems)
  • Ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
  • Strong interpersonal skills and team management ability
