A construction organization, servicing New York and New Jersey is currently seeking a Communications Specialist to join their team.
This is a contract to hire engagment, located in Parsippany, NJ. A hybrid schedule is offered!
Responsibilities:
- Monitor social media for engagement, customer service, and recruiting opportunities, as well as engage in social media conversations on behalf of the organization
- Design and develop presentations and other communications tools for use by senior management
- Assist in our recruitment process by collaborating on our various strategic recruitment programs and initiatives
- Capture studio-quality photographs and videos. Edit content and build a library of videos focused on safety, recruiting, branding and marketing
- Generate written communications, announcements, articles, flyers, etc., for all lines of business.
- Coordinate company submissions for national and regional recognition
- Participate and speak at local and regional events, charities and community outreach programs to increase awareness of the organization
- Bachelor's degree in communications, journalism, public relations field or other related field
- Experience writing/publishing a company newsletter and utilizing all social media platforms
- Advanced computer skills including email, Microsoft Office (Excel, Word, and PowerPoint) and internet based software programs
- Proficiency with Adobe programs such as Photoshop, Premiere Pro
- Must be committed to providing and promoting a safe work environment
- Social Media management experience
- Experience with Canon DSLR Cameras
- Proficiency with Adobe Illustrator, InDesign, Photoshop, and Premiere Pro (and/or Final Cut Pro)
- Experience in public speaking and preparing related materials
- Demonstrated ability to maintain strong relationships with employees and customers
