Our client is looking for a Cost Accountant to join their growing specialty manufacturing company. This is a newly created position supporting their finance team as they expand operations following a recent acquisition. You'll work in a collaborative environment where your expertise directly impacts business decisions.
What You'll Do:
- Maintain standard costs for ~200 product SKUs in their Oracle ERP system
- Analyze manufacturing variances (labor, materials, overhead) and investigate root causes
- Work directly with plant operations, procurement, and production teams
- Create cost reports and variance analysis using Excel and Oracle
- Support monthly financial closes and inventory processes
- Help prepare for future NetSuite ERP implementation (2026)
- Participate in new product costing and special projects
What We're Looking For:
- Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field
- 3-5 years cost accounting experience in manufacturing
- Strong Excel skills (pivot tables, lookups, data manipulation)
- Oracle ERP experience preferred (other ERP systems considered)
- Manufacturing knowledge required and CPG a plus
- Excellent communication skills - you'll work across all departments
- Self-starter who can work independently in a small team environment
Work Details:
- Hybrid schedule: 3 days in office (Tue/Wed/Thu), 2 days remote
- Pennsylvania location or New York option
- Contract-to-hire opportunity with conversion expected in 2026 (based on performance)
