A leading technology services firm in Columbus, Ohio is currently seeking a skilled Data Center Technician to join our dynamic team. This role will play a vital part in maintaining and securing our data center infrastructure, with a focus on hardware and network diagnostics.

- Schedule: Must be available for on-call rotation

Responsibilities:
The Data Center Technician will be responsible for:
- Performing hardware and network diagnostics and repairs
- Participating in an on-call rotation for after-hours support
- Installing equipment and creating documentation
- Innovating solutions and resolving complex problems
- Collaborating with team members and working independently as needed
Qualifications:
- 1 year of relevant experience
- An Associate’s Degree or equivalent experience in an IT-related field preferred
- Advanced understanding of computer hardware
- Basic knowledge of Linux or similar operating systems
- Understanding of computer networking
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to function effectively under pressure and manage multiple priorities
- Must pass a background check
- Physical ability to lift up to 50lbs and work in confined spaces or elevated locations
- A valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
- Willingness to provide after-hours support as needed
Desired Skills:
- RAID, SAN, X86 Architecture knowledge
- Experience with SCSI, Boot Process, GRUB/LILO, File Systems
- CompTIA A+ certification
- Strong problem-solving capabilities
- Experience with break/fix and server operations
