A premier global independent investment banking advisory firm is currently seeking a Deferred Compensation Specialist to join their team in New York, working within the deferred compensation team to support a new system implementation. This role focuses on ensuring detailed data reconciliation and achieving deadlines while managing high volumes of information. **About the Opportunity:** - **Hybrid or Remote:** Flexible schedule with a preference for local candidates who can attend the office once every few weeks; 100% remote options considered. - **Shift:** Eastern Standard Time (EST) hours. - **Schedule:** 40-hour work week. - **Setting:** Collaborative environment with a focus on detail-oriented processes and data management. **Responsibilities:** The **Deferred Compensation Specialist** will be responsible for: - Reconciliation of data within the deferred compensation system. - Managing deferred compensation aspects such as stock, equity, and vesting schedules. - Supporting the implementation of a new system with detailed data management. - Ensuring accuracy and meeting critical deadlines for reporting. - Collaborating with team members to handle high data volumes efficiently. **Qualifications:** - 4-5 years of experience in deferred compensation or related fields. - Bachelor’s degree in finance, accounting, or a related field. - CPA preferred but not required. - Proficiency in advanced Excel skills, including vlookups and pivot tables. - Experience in deferred compensation and accounting, including stock compensation knowledge. - Strong analytical and detail-oriented skills. - Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment. - Excellent communication and organizational skills. **Desired Skills:** - Public Accounting experience preferred. - Experience with Anaplan preferred but not required. - Understanding of SEC reporting considered an asset.
