Desktop Support Technician

A Fortune 50 financial services company is seeking a highly motivated Desktop Support Technician for our client in the Pensacola, FL area.

Overview:

  • We are seeking a detail-oriented and customer-focused Desktop Support Operator to provide high-quality technical support for end-users.
  • This role involves troubleshooting hardware, software, and basic networking issues related to desktop systems.
  • The ideal candidate will be capable of working both independently and collaboratively in a fast-paced environment, ensuring efficient resolution of technical issues to support organizational productivity.

Responsibilities:

  • Provide technical support for desktop systems, including hardware setup, software installation, and troubleshooting.
  • Respond to end-user inquiries in a professional and timely manner, ensuring high levels of customer satisfaction.
  • Support Windows 11 OS, including installation, updates, and issue resolution.
  • Assist with basic networking issues and escalate complex problems when necessary.
  • Configure and support peripheral equipment such as monitors, docking stations, and printers.
  • Maintain detailed documentation of issues and solutions using ticketing systems such as ServiceNow.
  • Collaborate with IT teams to implement support procedures and ensure smooth IT operations.
  • Qualifications:
  • Proven experience in desktop support, including hardware and equipment setup.
  • Proficiency in supporting Windows 11 operating systems.
  • Basic understanding of networking concepts and troubleshooting.
  • Strong customer service skills and ability to communicate technical information clearly to non-technical users.
  • Ability to work independently and within a team environment.
  • Excellent organizational and problem-solving abilities.

Desired:

  • CompTIA Security+ certification or a degree in an IT-related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience with printer server management.
  • Familiarity with ServiceNow or other IT service management tools.
  • Working knowledge of Office 365 applications and Microsoft Teams.
