A financial services company is seeking a highly motivated DevOps Engineer for a great opportunity with their team in the Charlotte, NC area.
***This is a Hybrid opportunity requiring the qualified professional to work onsite at least 3 days a week.***
Responsibilities:
- Ensure the smooth operation of the company's IT infrastructure
- Collaborate with Developers to deploy and manage code changes
- Work with the Operations staff to ensure the systems are up and running smoothly
- Influence the Application Architects within the Lines of Business (LoBs) to fulfill organizational goals and objectives
- Establish relationships with key technical and non-technical decision makers to drive long-term cloud adoption and develop impactful solutions
- Provide technical expertise and advice to application development teams to guide cloud adoption
- Design and publish standards for application patterns
- Forecast cloud consumption and establish cloud consumption patterns
- Establish metrics to guide LoB development organizations on cloud implementation best practices
- Perform other duties as assigned
Qualifications:
- 5+ years of AWS, Python, and Terraform experience
- Deep understanding of both Development and Operations processes
- Experience with Vue.JS and Node.JS
- Strong technical background
- Expertise in providing technical advice for Cloud adoption
- Experience in designing and publishing standards for Application patterns
- Ability to forecast Cloud consumption and establish consumption patterns
- Strong understanding of Cloud Infrastructure standards and best practices
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
