A leading community-based medical center in Brooklyn is currently seeking a Director of Hematology and Medical Oncology
to lead its growing cancer care program. This is a full-time leadership opportunity for a board-certified physician looking to shape strategic, patient-centered cancer services.
Responsibilities:
The Director of Hematology and Medical Oncology will be responsible for:
- Creating and executing a strategic vision for regional cancer care services, including clinical care, patient experience, and financial goals
- Leading and overseeing a patient-focused, multidisciplinary oncology program
- Expanding oncology services and access to care for the community
- Driving interdepartmental collaboration across clinical disciplines
- Diagnosing and managing disorders of the blood, bone marrow, vascular, and immune systems
- Supporting clinical research and programmatic development initiatives
Qualifications:
- Minimum 5 years of leadership experience in a community cancer center
- M.D. or M.D./Ph.D. from an accredited medical school
- Board Certification in both Hematology and Medical Oncology
- Expertise in either hematologic malignancies or solid tumors
- Proven ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and foster collaboration
- Strong organizational, communication, and program development skills
- Experience in process improvement and stakeholder alignment
- Commitment to delivering high-quality, evidence-based, patient-centered care
