A Telecommunications organization in Colorado is seeking an experienced IT professional to join their staff in the Greater Denver area as a Network Engineer.
Responsibilities:

Design and document network architecture to meet organizational needs.

This role involves managing network services from the planning phase through implementation.

Perform assessments on existing technologies to identify performance and capacity gaps.

Establish security, connectivity, and access parameters for network infrastructure.

Provide recommendations to optimize network infrastructure.
-
Test and tune security devices and systems to ensure optimal performance.
-
Program routers and switches to support network operations.
-
Implement communications technologies (data or voice) and manage network services from planning through implementation.

Write and maintain detailed technical documentation.
-
Develop, follow, and present detailed technical test plans.
Qualifications:
-
10 years of experience in network architecture and management.
-
A solid knowledge of routing protocols, network hardware and software, security technologies, and network infrastructure is required.

Advanced knowledge of DOCSIS and EPON standards.

Experience with RPHY, Harmonic CableOS vCMTS, and RPDs (Harmonic Pebble 2 and Vecima ERM-32X).

Working knowledge of iCMTS platforms including Casa C100G, Arris E6000, and Cisco cBR8.

Working knowledge of EPON platforms including ADTRAN 95XX and Distributed Access Architecture ROLTs SDX-6210, Vecima (Nokia) 7360, and Distributed Access Architecture ROLTs SF-4X.

Working knowledge of switch platforms including Cisco NCS/ASR and Juniper PTX/QFX/ACX.

Proficiency in routing protocols including OSPF, ISIS, BGP, and v4/v6 Multicast.

Ability to write technical documentation.

Ability to write, follow, and present detailed technical test plans.
