An established recruiting firm is currently seeking Pharmacists and Pharmacy Technicians to join their rapid-response team in Louisiana. These roles support statewide deployments, working in partnership with the Louisiana Department of Health (LDH).
About the Opportunity:
- Hybrid or Remote: On-site deployment
- Shift: Day and night shifts available
- Schedule: 12-hour shifts
- Hours: 7:00 AM – 7:00 PM or 7:00 PM – 7:00 AM
- Setting: Diverse medical operation sites including clinics, shelters, and mobile units
Responsibilities:
The Pharmacist & Pharmacy Technician will be responsible for:
- Supporting medication dispensing and vaccination at POD sites and medical shelters
- Assisting patients with prescriptions and education on safe medication use
- Performing medication reconciliation, management, and documentation
- Preparing, packaging, and labeling prescriptions (Technicians under Pharmacist supervision)
- Maintaining stock, inventory, and supply chain oversight
- Collaborating with physicians, nurses, and LDH staff for safe, effective medication use
Qualifications:
- Minimum 1 year of relevant experience
- Active, unencumbered license or certification (Louisiana compliance may be required)
- BLS/CPR certification preferred
- Medication therapy management (Pharmacist)
- Medication preparation and dispensing (Technician)
- Adaptable and effective in high-volume emergency settings
- Strong communication skills
- Ability to work collaboratively
- Attention to detail
Desired Skills:
- Additional experience in emergency response roles is advantageous
- Advanced degrees or certifications considered an asset
- Proficiency in inventory management systems
- Strong problem-solving skills
