We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Consultant to join the Human Resources team with an asset manager.

About the Opportunity:

  • Length: 10-12 months
  • On site 4-5 days per week

Key Responsibilities:

  • Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into complaints of discrimination, harassment, and other workplace issues.
  • Act as a point of contact for employee concerns, complaints, and workplace conflicts.
  • Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
  • Develop and implement employee relations policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
  • Collaborate with HR and legal teams to address and resolve complex employee relations issues.
  • Maintain accurate and detailed records of all employee relations cases and investigations.
  • Assist in developing and conducting training sessions for employees and managers on topics related to employee relations, such as anti-discrimination and anti-harassment policies.
  • Stay up-to-date with current employment laws and regulations to ensure organizational compliance.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
  • At least 6 years of experience in employee relations, including investigating complaints of discrimination and harassment.
  • Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Professional certification in Human Resources (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP).
  • Experience in a consulting role or working with multiple clients.
