We are seeking an experienced Employee Relations Consultant to join the Human Resources team with an asset manager.
About the Opportunity:
- Length: 10-12 months
- On site 4-5 days per week
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct thorough and impartial investigations into complaints of discrimination, harassment, and other workplace issues.
- Act as a point of contact for employee concerns, complaints, and workplace conflicts.
- Provide guidance and support to employees and managers on employee relations matters, including conflict resolution, performance management, and disciplinary actions.
- Develop and implement employee relations policies and procedures to ensure compliance with legal and regulatory requirements.
- Collaborate with HR and legal teams to address and resolve complex employee relations issues.
- Maintain accurate and detailed records of all employee relations cases and investigations.
- Assist in developing and conducting training sessions for employees and managers on topics related to employee relations, such as anti-discrimination and anti-harassment policies.
- Stay up-to-date with current employment laws and regulations to ensure organizational compliance.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a related field.
- At least 6 years of experience in employee relations, including investigating complaints of discrimination and harassment.
- Strong knowledge of employment laws and regulations.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to handle sensitive and confidential information with discretion.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Professional certification in Human Resources (e.g., PHR, SPHR, SHRM-CP, SHRM-SCP).
- Experience in a consulting role or working with multiple clients.
