A distinguished private equity firm specializing in energy investments is seeking an Equity Research Analyst to bridge the gap between equity analysis and energy commodities. This pivotal role involves integrating insights from the Exploration & Production (E&P) and Oil & Gas sectors into the firm's broader energy commodities strategies.
Responsibilities:
- Conduct in-depth, bottom-up analysis of companies within the E&P and Oil & Gas subsectors, developing investment theses and financial models
- Collaborate with the commodities team to align equity insights with energy market dynamics, enhancing the firm's investment strategies
- Identify and evaluate investment opportunities, contributing to capital deployment decisions when appropriate
- Communicate findings and recommendations effectively to internal stakeholders, including portfolio managers and senior leadership
- Maintain a presence at the Darien, CT office as needed to facilitate collaboration and decision-making
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of Equity Research experience
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Economics, or a related field
- Proficiency in Financial Modeling and Valuation techniques
- Willingness to obtain necessary FINRA licenses (e.g., Series 86/87) if not already held
Desired Skills:
- Equity Research experience covering E&P or Oil & Gas sectors
- Buy-side experience
- Experience with Enverus or similar platforms
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive, commensurate with experience.
- Performance-based bonus ranging from 100% to 150% of base salary
