**Data Center Engineering Operations Technician (EOT) - Mechanical/Electrical** A leading Fortune top 40 company in Sterling, Virginia, is seeking a skilled Data Center Engineering Operations Technician (EOT) with a strong electrical or mechanical background. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals to work within cutting-edge data centers and play a critical role in maintaining top-quality performance and service. **About the Opportunity:** - **Hybrid or Remote:** On-site - **Shift:** 12-hour shifts - **Schedule:** Rotating 3 to 4-day work weeks - **Hours:** Full-time with paid time-and-a-half for overtime - **Setting:** Data center environment **Responsibilities:** The **Data Center Engineering Operations Technician (EOT)** will be responsible for: - Operating and maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment. - Conducting root cause analysis of equipment failures. - Performing maintenance tasks, including filter changes and battery system preventive maintenance. - Troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs. - Adhering to all safety procedures while performing work. - Supervising contractors for service and preventive maintenance. - Taking daily operational readings and providing metrics for reporting. - Utilizing the CMMS to manage building workflows. - Ensuring power and cooling efficiency, as well as maintaining clean rooms for critical environments. - Carrying out administrative duties, including data entry in Excel and writing work authorizations and work orders. **Qualifications:** - 2+ years of relevant work experience. - Technical (Military/Trade School) training and/or relevant experience. - Experience in a Data Center or Critical Environment. - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Solid leadership and organizational skills. - Attention to detail with high energy and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment. **Desired Skills:** - Experience with HVAC, Generator, Refrigeration, Electrical systems. - Familiarity with critical facilities, 480V, Air Handling Units, Automatic Transfer Switches, Uninterruptible Power Supplies, Chillers, and Transformers.
