**Data Center Engineering Operations Technician (EOT) - Mechanical/Electrical** A leading Fortune top 40 company in Sterling, Virginia, is seeking a skilled Data Center Engineering Operations Technician (EOT) with a strong electrical or mechanical background. This position offers an exciting opportunity for individuals to work within cutting-edge data centers and play a critical role in maintaining top-quality performance and service. **About the Opportunity:** - **Hybrid or Remote:** On-site - **Shift:** 12-hour shifts - **Schedule:** Rotating 3 to 4-day work weeks - **Hours:** Full-time with paid time-and-a-half for overtime - **Setting:** Data center environment **Responsibilities:** The **Data Center Engineering Operations Technician (EOT)** will be responsible for: - Operating and maintaining mechanical and electrical equipment. - Conducting root cause analysis of equipment failures. - Performing maintenance tasks, including filter changes and battery system preventive maintenance. - Troubleshooting facility and rack-level events within internal SLAs. - Adhering to all safety procedures while performing work. - Supervising contractors for service and preventive maintenance. - Taking daily operational readings and providing metrics for reporting. - Utilizing the CMMS to manage building workflows. - Ensuring power and cooling efficiency, as well as maintaining clean rooms for critical environments. - Carrying out administrative duties, including data entry in Excel and writing work authorizations and work orders. **Qualifications:** - 2+ years of relevant work experience. - Technical (Military/Trade School) training and/or relevant experience. - Experience in a Data Center or Critical Environment. - Strong verbal and written communication skills. - Solid leadership and organizational skills. - Attention to detail with high energy and ability to prioritize in a fast-paced environment. **Desired Skills:** - Experience with HVAC, Generator, Refrigeration, Electrical systems. - Familiarity with critical facilities, 480V, Air Handling Units, Automatic Transfer Switches, Uninterruptible Power Supplies, Chillers, and Transformers. Ideal candidates should possess the required skills and experience and be eager to contribute to a high-performing team in a dynamic and technologically advanced setting.
