A community-based forensic mental health program is seeking a Family Therapist to join its Forensic Assertive Community Treatment (FACT) team.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9am to 5pm
- Team: Forensic Assertive Community Treatment (FACT)
- Location: Richmond Hill, NY + Field-Based Services
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive family/social assessments and participate in integrated client treatment planning
- Provide individual, family, and group-based counseling, with a focus on family psychoeducation
- Deliver services primarily in the community with some sessions onsite at the Richmond Hill office
- Lead efforts to integrate family goals with overall care plans developed by the team
- Complete timely documentation of assessments, treatment updates, and session notes
- Contribute to treatment plans, risk assessments, and outcome tracking
- Participate in daily team meetings, care coordination discussions, and clinical supervision
- Coordinate family engagement strategy with clinicians, prescribers, and case managers
- Stay current on evidence-based approaches to family systems therapy and trauma-informed care
Qualifications:

Master’s Degree in Social Work, Psychology, Mental Health Counseling, Marriage & Family Therapy, and other related field (New graduates with clinical training are welcome!)
Desired Skills:
- NYS Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW)
- Experience or training in Family Psychoeducation and Family Systems Therapy
