A health services network in New Jersey is currently seeking a licensed Gastroenterologist to join one of their facilities in Monmouth County. In this role, the Gastroenterologist will be responsible for focusing on providing advanced GI care in a hospitalist setting.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Days
- Schedule: Flexible ( Weekdays)
- Caseload: 25 to 35 patients daily
- Setting: Inpatient
Responsibilities:
The Gastroenterologist will be responsible for:
- Performing GI procedures, including EGD and colonoscopy
- Providing weekday and weekend hospitalist coverage
- Coordinating with advanced practice providers (APP) for patient care
- Participating in an equitable call schedule with overnight pager coverage on weekends
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- M.D., D.O.
- Board Certified In Gastroenterology
- Valid CDS and DEA certification
- Proficiency in GI procedures (EGD, colonoscopy)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
- Ability to handle a high-volume caseload
Desired Skills
- Experience in an Inpatient Hospitalist and/or Gastrointestinal role/setting
- Familiarity with advanced GI practices
- Flexible and adaptable to various scheduling needs
