Gastroenterologist

A leading healthcare organization in Massachusetts is currently seeking an Outpatient Gastroenterologist (GI/Endoscopy) to join their team. This role focuses on supporting outpatient GI and endoscopy services across multiple sites and is part of an initiative to reduce procedural backlogs. **About the Opportunity:** - **Hybrid or Remote:** On-site - **Shift:** Day shift - **Schedule:** 5 days per week - **Hours:** 8-hour shifts - **Setting:** Outpatient facilities across Southborough, Worcester, and Marlborough, MA **Responsibilities:** The **Outpatient Gastroenterologist (GI/Endoscopy)** will be responsible for: - Performing upper endoscopy and colonoscopy procedures - Providing outpatient GI care across designated facilities - Maintaining a patient load of approximately 14–16 patients per day - Working 5 days per week, 8-hour shifts - No call responsibilities **Qualifications:** - MD or DO degree - Completion of a Gastroenterology Fellowship - Board Certification in Gastroenterology - Eligible for credentialing at UMass Memorial Medical Center and Marlborough Hospital - Massachusetts medical license (or willingness to obtain; licensing may extend credentialing timeline) - Strong organizational skills - Excellent communication skills - Ability to work collaboratively in a team environment **Desired Skills:** - Experience in a similar outpatient setting - Advanced endoscopic procedure skills - Additional certifications in related procedures or specialties - Proficiency in electronic medical records (EMR) systems - Commitment to patient-centered care This position offers a unique opportunity to join a dynamic team and contribute to a valued healthcare initiative.
