Gastroenterologist (Locums)
A healthcare network is actively seeking a Gastroenterologist to provide locums coverage. The physician will deliver GI consults, procedures, and longitudinal care.
About the Opportunity
- Schedule: Outpatient clinic, inpatient consults, and endoscopy blocks
- Specialty: Gastroenterology
Key Responsibilities
- Perform endoscopic procedures (EGD, colonoscopy, polypectomy, etc.).
- Diagnose and manage GI disorders (IBD, liver disease, GERD).
- Provide inpatient GI consults and manage emergencies (GI bleeds, obstructions).
- Collaborate with surgeons, hepatologists, and dietitians.
- Document procedures and patient encounters in EMR.
Qualifications
- Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
- Licensure: Active and unrestricted state license.
- Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in Gastroenterology.
- Preferred: Advanced endoscopy training.
