General Surgeon (Locums)
A healthcare system is seeking a General Surgeon to provide locums coverage. The surgeon will handle inpatient consults, elective cases, and emergent surgical procedures.

- Schedule: OR blocks and on-call coverage
- Specialty: General Surgery
Key Responsibilities
- Perform general surgical procedures (appendectomy, hernia repair, cholecystectomy, etc.).
- Provide inpatient surgical consults and follow-up care.
- Collaborate with anesthesiologists, OR staff, and specialists.
- Participate in trauma coverage if required.
- Complete operative and post-op documentation in EMR.
Qualifications
- Education: MD or DO from an accredited medical school.
- Licensure: Active and unrestricted state license.
- Board Certification: Board Certified or Board Eligible in General Surgery.
- Preferred: Trauma or acute care surgery experience.
