A leading healthcare organization in Connecticut is currently seeking a Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant to support their Hematology/Oncology department. This is a locum tenens opportunity providing weekday coverage for an outpatient setting.

Responsibilities:
The Nurse Practitioner / Physician Assistant will be responsible for:
- Providing outpatient care to hematology/oncology patients
- Performing patient assessments and managing treatment plans
- Collaborating with physicians and clinical staff to coordinate care
- Reviewing labs and diagnostic tests to guide clinical decisions
- Documenting patient encounters in the EMR system
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of hematology/oncology experience
- Graduate of an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant program
- Active NP or PA license (State of CT or eligibility)
- DEA license and BLS certification
- Proficient in outpatient care management
- Strong communication and clinical judgment
- Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
Desired Skills:
- 3+ years of experience in a similar setting
- Oncology certification preferred
- Experience with EPIC EMR
- Confidence managing benign hematology cases
- Detail-oriented and adaptable in patient care
