A nonprofit organization in New York City is actively seeking a new Housing Specialist to join their growing team in Brooklyn.
About the opportunity:
- Assignment Length: 3 to 6 months
- Schedule: Sunday to Thursday (8-hour shifts)
- Setting: Family Shelter Program
Responsibilities:
- Guide families through the housing search process
- Build landlord relationships
- Conduct workshops
- Provide case management support
- Advocate for clients with Brokers and Property Managers while maintaining detailed documentation
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Housing experience (property management, supportive housing, NYCHA, or related)
- Bachelor's Degree or equivalent experience
- Patient, advocacy-focused personality
- Quick learner with strong communication skills
- Clean background check

- Bilingual
