A Fortune 50 financial services company is seeking a highly motivated HR Shared Services Advisor to join their growing team. In this role, the HR Shared Services Advisor will be responsible for providing operational support and guidance across a variety of shared services functions, ensuring efficient processes and timely resolution of employee inquiries.
***This is a Hybrid opportunity requiring the qualified professional to work at least 3 days a week at one of the following locations: Pensacola, FL; Mclean, VA; or, Winchester, VA.***
Responsibilities:
- Serve as the first point of contact for employees following vendor approval of disability claims, offering guidance and next steps
- Respond to employee inquiries via phone and case management systems, including complex or sensitive issues requiring thoughtful communication
- Manage cases submitted by employees, ensuring timely, accurate, and comprehensive resolutions
- Collaborate with internal teams to improve processes and enhance the employee experience
- Maintain compliance with internal policies and regulatory standards across shared services activities
- Review and update employee separation records in Oracle HCM
- Support broader shared services initiatives and contribute to continuous improvement efforts
- Working closely with vendors, other contractors, and advisors that are processing disability payments
Qualifications:
- 3+ years of Human Resources-related experience
- Bachelor’s Degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, or a closely related field
- Strong knowledge of Shared Services models and practices that drive operational efficiency
- Familiarity with Compliance and Regulatory standards related to HR and employee support
- Proficient in Case Management systems and telephone-based support
- Demonstrated problem-solving and process improvement skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to convey complex information in a clear and empathetic manner
- Ability to manage multiple priorities and maintain attention to detail in a fast-paced environment
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Oracle HCM or similar HR systems
- HR certifications like PHR, SPHR, SHRM‑CP, or SHRM‑SCP enhance credibility and demonstrate commitment to the profession.
