A recognized healthcare network in New Jersey is actively seeking a licensed Nurse Practitioner, with an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care certification, to join its ICU team at one of their facilities in Bergen County.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Full-time
- Shift: Nights
- Hours: 7pm to 7:30am
- Department: Intensive Care Unit (ICU)
- Patient Population: Adults & Geriatrics
Responsibilities:
- Conduct comprehensive assessments of critically ill geriatric patients in the ICU
- Develop and implement individualized care plans in collaboration with the multidisciplinary team
- Perform and interpret diagnostic tests and procedures pertinent to acute care
- Manage complex medical conditions and respond promptly to changes in patient status
- Provide education and support to patients and their families regarding treatment plans and health maintenance
- Perform other duties as needed
Qualifications:
- Current and unrestricted Nurse Practitioner license in the state of New Jersey.
- Certification as an Adult-Gerontology Acute Care Nurse Practitioner (AGACNP).
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in an ICU or acute care setting, preferably with a geriatric focus
- Strong clinical decision-making skills and the ability to work independently during night shifts
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to effectively collaborate with healthcare team members
