A recognized healthcare system in New York is actively seeking a Social Worker (LMSW / LCSW) to join their growing Inpatient Behavioral Health Department. In this role, the Social Worker (LMSW / LCSW) will be responsible for identifying psychosocial issues and concerns of patients and their families and providing appropriate clinical services to meet their needs.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 9am to 5pm
- Setting: inpatient Behavioral Health
Responsibilities:
- Conduct initial psychiatric assessment
- Document biopsychosocial assessments, formulation and disposition
- Develop comprehensive treatment plans
- Facilitate supportive, psychoeducational and insight-oriented psychotherapeutic interventions
- Participate weekly supervision
- Provide crisis interventions to high-risk patients,
- Engaging with and providing support to families
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- Master’s Degree in Social Work
- Active New York State Licensed Master Social Worker (LMSW) or Licensed Clinical Social Work (LCSW)
- Social Work in a Behavioral Health inpatient setting
- Knowledgeable in Mental Health and Service Delivery to Adults
- Ability to work within Microsoft Word, Excel
- Good organization and writing skills
- Ability to work in a fast paced environment
