reputable outpatient primary care practice in Connecticut is currently seeking a Physician (Internal Medicine), Nurse Practitioner, or Physician Assistant to join their team on a locum tenens basis. This role offers flexible weekday scheduling and a collaborative clinical environment.
About the Opportunity:
- Hybrid or Remote: Onsite only
- Schedule: Monday–Friday
- Hours: 8:00 AM start time; 8-hour shifts
- Setting: Outpatient Primary Care
- On-Call: None
- Patient Load: Gradual ramp-up to ~18 patients/day
Responsibilities:
The Physician / NP / PA will be responsible for:
- Delivering high-quality primary care to adult patients (18+)
- Conducting patient assessments and managing treatment plans
- Collaborating with internal medical staff, including MDs and APPs
- Building and managing their patient panel
- Participating in care coordination and documentation within EMR
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of relevant experience in Internal Medicine or Primary Care
- Medical degree (MD/DO) or graduate of an accredited NP/PA program
- Active Connecticut license
- BLS preferred; ACLS preferred but not required
- Strong clinical knowledge in adult medicine
- Experience working independently in outpatient settings
- Excellent communication and time-management skills

- Experience ramping up a patient panel
- Comfort working both independently and in a team
- EMR proficiency
