A Fortune 50 financial services company is seeking a highly motivated Java Developer for our client in the McLean, VA area.
Overview:

Seeking a skilled Java Developer to design and build APIs and applications using Java and related frameworks. The ideal candidate will have strong experience developing APIs from scratch in a microservices architecture, along with a solid background in debugging, testing, and optimizing applications.

Preference to Hybrid candidates working onsite 2 days per week. Open to remote as well.
Responsibilities:

Design, develop, and maintain RESTful APIs and microservices.

Collaborate with cross-functional teams to define, design, and ship new features.

Write clean, efficient, and maintainable code using Java and related frameworks.

Debug, test, and optimize applications to ensure high performance and reliability.

Contribute to both front-end and back-end development as required.

Participate in code reviews, ensuring adherence to best practices and coding standards.

Support application deployment and troubleshoot production issues as needed.
Qualifications:
-
4+ years of experience as a Java Developer.

Strong expertise in Java and frameworks such as Spring / Spring Boot.

Solid understanding of web development principles and RESTful APIs.

Experience developing applications in a microservices architecture.

Strong debugging, testing, and troubleshooting skills.

Familiarity with CI/CD pipelines, Git, and Agile development practices.
