Responsibilities:
The Women's Health (OBGYN)
LVN
will:
- Administer immunizations and medications
- Assist doctors with examinations and other procedures relating to direct patient care
- Dressing wounds, Catheterization and irrigation, Administering EKG’s, Administering IV therapy
- Maintains complete and accurate patient records, enters data into the electronic health record (EHR), ensuring accurate and complete documentation of all procedures.
- Instructs patients about procedures, preparation for tests or examinations, and self-care upon discharge.
- Assists with patient flow including receiving/greeting patients; locating charts/electronic health records; ensuring all laboratory and other test results are in the chart and/or EHR; answering the telephone; and referring patients to
- appropriate person.
Qualifications:
- A valid Licensed Vocational Nurse license issued by the State of California.
- Working knowledge of direct patient care methods and practices in a community clinic setting, including prior experience.
Desired Skills:
- 2+ years of OBGYN or Women's Health experiences in a Community Health setting.
