A health services network in Western New York is currently seeking licensed professional to join their growing team in Buffalo NY as their new Licensed Master Social Worker.

About the Opportunity:

  • Start: Date: ASAP
  • Hours: Monday to Friday
  • Hours: 8am to 4pm or 9am-5pm (35 hours per week)
  • Patient Volume: 15 to 20

Responsibilities:

  • Use evidence-based treatment approaches like motivational interviewing and trauma-informed care.
  • Conduct regular group and individual counseling sessions.
  • Collect weekly random urine samples.
  • Orient clients on program goals and rules.
  • Apply counseling techniques and evidence-based models for addiction.
  • Participate in interdisciplinary team meetings.
  • Develop and implement treatment plans.
  • Incorporate diverse cultural needs into practice.
  • Complete documentation timely.
  • Educate clients about alcohol and drug abuse.
  • Adhere to ethical standards.
  • Maintain and update referral services.
  • Demonstrate proficiency in English for CASAC-T role.
  • Participate in supervision and performance evaluations.
  • Familiarity with billing codes and maintain billable hours.
  • Ensure compliance with regulations.
  • Engage in community outreach.
  • Complete client progress reports timely.
  • Attend program meetings and trainings.
  • Perform tasks as requested by a supervisor.

Qualifications:

  • 3+ years of relevant experience in Social Work in a Mental or Behavioral Health environment required
  • Master's Degree in Social Work or an equivalent related field required
  • Current and unrestricted LMSW NYS Licensure required
  • Obtain within six months of hire:
    • Supporting Recovery with Medications Addictions Treatment (MAT)
  • Obtain within thirty days of hire:
    • Screening, Brief Intervention and Referral to Treatment
    • CASAC Canon of Ethics (6 hours)
    • Confidentiality related to 42CFR (3 Hours)
    • Mandated reporter (2 hours)
