About the Opportunity:
- Hybrid or Remote: On-site
- Shift: Monday - Friday, 1pm - 11pm
- Schedule: Includes rotating weekends
- Hours: Full-time, per diem option available
- Setting: Crisis Receiving Center providing emergency behavioral health services
Responsibilities:
The Licensed Practical Nurse will be responsible for:
- Conducting nursing assessments for individuals upon admission
- Preparing and implementing care plans with measurable goals
- Providing monthly progress reports and health care training
- Scheduling and documenting all required medical services
- Supervising medication storage, handling, and administration
Qualifications:
- A minimum of two years of experience with developmentally disabled individuals
- Graduation from an accredited Licensed Practical Nurse Program
- Licensed by the State Board of Nursing in Virginia
- Experience with psychiatric/behavioral healthcare nursing
- Knowledgeable in crisis intervention and crisis management
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills
- Strong team collaboration abilities
- Reliable and detail-oriented
- Maintain confidentiality and professional ethical standards
Desired Skills:
- Experience in State Hospital & Acute care
- Driver's license with an acceptable DMV record
- Proficiency in behavior management
- Strong organizational and time management skills
- Ability to work flexible hours as required
