Join a renowned healthcare system in Brooklyn as a Mammography Technologist at one of our Outpatient Gotham Health Centers. This role will involve providing essential mammography and X-Ray services in a dynamic and supportive environment.
About the Opportunity:

- Schedule: East New York - 8am-4pm & 10am-6pm; Cumberland - 8:30am-4:30pm & 10am-6pm; at least 1 Saturday per month required
- Hours: Full-time
- Setting: Outpatient
Responsibilities:
The Mammography Technologist will be responsible for:
- Providing X-Ray and mammography services to patients
- Reviewing medical information and interpreting requisitions accurately
- Following established protocols for mammography and X-Ray
- Applying Universal Precautions to minimize exposure to infectious organisms
- Complying with policies on patient rights and confidentiality (HIPAA)
- Utilizing two patient identifiers for patient identification
- Reporting examination discrepancies as necessary
- Keeping records/logs of all examinations
- Documenting examinations accurately and promptly
- Ensuring optimal quality of mammograms and X-Rays
- Maintaining and monitoring diagnostic equipment
- Reporting equipment malfunctions
- Maintaining examination rooms’ cleanliness and supplies
Qualifications:
- 1+ years of experience as a Mammography Technologist
- Associate's degree preferred
- Valid radiologic technologist license issued by the NYSDOH
- Post primary certification in mammography by ARRT
- Experience with X-Ray and DEXA preferred
- Strong attention to detail and communication skills
- Ability to handle patient information with confidentiality
Desired Skills:
- 2 years of experience preferred
- BLS certification preferred
- Experience using EMR software
- Bilingual skills are a plus
- Previous experience in outpatient settings advantageous
