A community services organization based in New York is actively seeking new Certified Medical Assistants (CMA) to join their staff for a one week event in Rochester NY.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Sunday (40hr work week)
- Hours: 8hrs per day (some evenings)
Responsibilities:
- Warmly greet and engage in friendly conversation with patients and guests.
- Answer telephones and schedule patient appointments accurately in the computer system.
- Check-in patients and prepare and process appropriate forms; check-out patients at the end of the visit.

Participate in direct patient care, including:
Performing vitals. - Conducting Quantiferon-TB Gold (QFT) tests.
- Performing phlebotomy.
- Perform a variety of patient care functions based on age-specific needs using age-appropriate communication techniques.
- Collect and accurately label specimens; prepare specimens and required paperwork for collection by affiliated laboratories.
- Restock exam/treatment rooms and medical supply inventory on a daily basis.
- Complete all necessary forms in an accurate and timely manner.
- Assist with various medical procedures, as required.
- Perform other job-related duties, as required.
Qualifications:
- Certified and non-certified candidates are allowed; they need to confirm completion of a Medical Assistant (MA) training program. Work experience only is not valid.
- 1+ year of experience as a Medical Assistant (MA).
- Phlebotomy Certificate preferred.
- High School Diploma / GED.
- Completion of a Medical Assistant (MA) training program.
