A recognized public health & safety organization in New York is actively seeking a new Mental Health Clinician for a Part-time role with their growing team.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Part-time
- Hours: 5 to 10 hours per month
- Patient Population: Adults (Ages 18+)
- Setting: Public Safety
Responsibilities:
- Provide guidance and support to management to ensure the most up-to-date best practices are followed
- Provide mental health services (24/7) to any employee who may be experiencing a mental health crisis, either in person or virtual assistance is accepted
- Complete assisting individuals in Crisis and Group Crisis Intervention courses through the International Critical Incident Stress Foundation (ICISF)
- Conduct mental health evaluations, crisis intervention, and assessments
- Determine and coordinate the disposition of patients for the appropriate level of mental health care
- Coordinate patient care with other institutional programs
- Complete all required documentation
Qualifications:
- Associate’s and/or Bachelor’s Degree
- Solid assessment and documentation skills
- Strong attention to detail
- Highly organized
Desired Skills:
- 3+ years of experience as a Mental Health professional
- Experience under one of the following titles: Master in Social Work (MSW); Licensed MSW; Certified Mental Health Counselor; Clinical Social Worker (CSW); Psychotherapist; Psychologist; Certified Psychiatric Rehabilitation Practitioner; Applied Behavioral Therapist (ABT); etc.
- Experience working with 1st line Public Safety personnel (Law Enforcement, Fire, etc.)
