A recognized services company has a great onsite Telecommunications Technician opportunity awaiting a hardworking and detail-oriented professional.
***The qualified professional in this role must be able to work onsite at one of company’s following offices throughout Virginia: Hampton, Richmond, Springfield or Woodbridge.***
About the Opportunity:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Assignment Length: At least 1 year
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 7am to 3:30pm
Responsibilities:
- Install, test, and repair IT equipment in company vehicles, including wireless routers, computer pedestals, docking stations, and associated power components and antenna cabling
- Perform installation, programming, and testing of mobile two-way radio equipment
- Decommission and remove IT equipment from vehicles as needed
- Utilize basic hand tools safely and effectively during installations and repairs
- Maintain accurate records of installations, repairs, and maintenance activities
- Collaborate with team members to ensure timely and efficient completion of projects
Qualifications:
- Minimum of 2 years of experience with two-way radio, cellular network equipment, or automotive installation
- High School Diploma or GED
- Hands-on working knowledge of DC voltage as it relates to power distribution within vehicles, including grounding and connection requirements
- Proficiency with basic hand tools and adherence to associated safety requirements
Desired Skills:
- Associate’s and/or Bachelor’s Degree
- Basic knowledge of iOS devices
