Tandym is seeking a skilled and driven Network Engineer to support a major infrastructure program involving large-scale storage upgrades, data center interconnectivity, and cloud-integrated backup solutions.
This is a one-year contract, primarily REMOTE with periodic on-site support required in Malta, NY and Burlington, VT.
Responsibilities
- Contribute to low-level network design and architecture documentation
- Configure and validate connectivity for enterprise storage platforms
- Implement and test HA network topologies, inter-site links, and VLAN structures
- Maintain and update network diagrams using Microsoft Visio
- Manage and execute network-related change requests via ServiceNow
- Support fiber provisioning within and between data centers
- Assist with VMWare Cloud Foundation network setup and NetApp integrations
- Optimize SnapMirror paths to AWS and ensure connectivity with existing infrastructure
Required Skills:
- Minimum 5+ years of experience in enterprise-level networking and infrastructure delivery
- Experience supporting storage and data center solutions
- Experience with Cisco Nexus, Catalyst, and ACI
- Experience with NetApp (AFF A900, MetroCluster, Keystone)
- Experience with VMWare, ServiceNow, Visio
- Strong understanding of Networking protocols: VLANs, IP addressing, DNS, NTP, Gateway configuration
- Willingness to travel to Malta, NY twice monthly and occasionally to Burlington, VT
