A top Fortune 50 financial institution is currently seeking a Network Engineer for a hybrid role based in Vienna, VA. This position will focus on supporting enterprise network operations, with a strong emphasis on F5 Load Balancing and Infoblox DNS systems.
About the Opportunity:
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: Standard business
- Setting: Hybrid (3 days a week onsite)
Responsibilities:
- Supporting daily operational activities across the network infrastructure
- Leading upgrade projects for F5 Load Balancers and Infoblox DNS hardware
- Administering DNS, DHCP, and IP address management using Infoblox
- Managing configurations for F5 LTM/GTM devices
- Troubleshooting complex network issues and ensuring high system availability
- Collaborating with the Engineering and operations teams on design and compliance initiatives
- Maintaining accurate documentation of systems and processes
Qualifications:
- 5 years of experience in Network Administration or Engineering
- Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or a related field (or equivalent experience)
- Hands-on expertise in F5 Load Balancers (LTM, GTM)
- Strong proficiency with Infoblox DNS/DHCP/IPAM
- In-depth knowledge of networking protocols (TCP/IP, BGP, OSPF)
- Experience with routers, firewalls, and VPN infrastructure
- Proficient in network troubleshooting and diagnostics
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
Desired Skills:
- Experience with Python or Ansible for automation
- Involvement in enterprise-level infrastructure upgrades or migrations
- Familiarity with monitoring tools such as SolarWinds or Wireshark
- F5-CA or Infoblox certifications
