A health services organization in Alabama is seeking a new Network Engineer to join their team in Birmingham.
Responsibilities:
The Network Engineer will be responsible for designing, implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting the organization's data network using primarily Cisco networking hardware and software.
Qualifications:
- 5 years of proficiency in network/infrastructure engineering and/or technical infrastructure support role in LAN/WAN/WLAN administration
- Experience and demonstrated proficiency of the following: LAN/WAN/WLAN/SDN technologies
- Experience with Data Center and Wireless technologies with a mobile presence
- Cisco Nexus series switches experience (9,300 9500, 9600)
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills with the ability to multi-task and manage several independent projects simultaneously
- Significant and successful experience in designing various IT solutions and implementation
Desired Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s Degree
- Experience in a Healthcare setting
- Experience working in an environment where HIPAA and NIST compliance is in use
- Cybersecurity technologies specializing in NAC (Cisco ISE), DNA center, and Palo Alto NGFWs
- Experience with Cloud environments such as AWS, Azure, and Google Cloud Platform. CCNP, CCDP
- Significant and successful experience in designing various IT solutions and implementation
