A community hospital in Orange County, NY is currently seeking a Neuro Hospitalist APP to join their growing team.
About the Opportunity:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Assignment Length: Ongoing (also open to contract to hire)
- Schedule: 7 days on 7 days off
- Hours: 7am-7pm
Responsibilities:
The Neuro Hospitalist APP will:
- Provide in-house neuro coverage on a shift-based schedule
- Collaborate closely with hospital nursing staff, anesthesiologists, neonatologists, and outpatient OB/GYN providers
- Conduct neurological consultations and emergency interventions as needed
- Supervise and support care of patients admitted for neurological issues
- Round on patients pre and post neurosurgical procedures
- Ensure thorough documentation and clear communication in patient records and provider handoffs
- Provide other services as needed
Qualifications:
- NYS licensed Nurse Practitioner (NP) or Physician Assistant (PA)
- Experience in Neurology (preferred) or Critical Care
- Ability to work independently and collaborate effectively within a multidisciplinary team
