A healthcare network in New York is actively seeking a licensed Cardiology Nurse Practitioner (NP) to join their outpatient cardiology practice at one of their facilities on Staten Island.
About the Opportunity:
- Specialty: Cardiology
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8:30am to 5:30pm
Responsibilities:
- Perform outpatient cardiovascular assessments, including history, physical examination, and ordering/interpreting diagnostic tests
- Develop and implement individualized management plans for patients with various cardiac conditions
- Focus on preventive cardiology through patient education, lifestyle counseling, and risk factor modification
- Collaborate with physicians and the healthcare team to ensure comprehensive patient care
- Provide follow-up care and coordinate referrals as needed
- Participate in weekend hospital coverage on a supervised basis, as required
- Maintain compliance with clinical guidelines, documentation, and regulatory standards
- Engage in ongoing professional development to enhance cardiology skills
Qualifications:
- Active Nurse Practitioner license and certification
- Experience or interest in cardiology, particularly outpatient care and prevention
- Ability to work both independently and collaboratively with Cardiologists
- Strong communication and patient education skills
- Flexibility to occasionally cover supervised hospital shifts on weekends
Deisred Skills:
- BLS and ACLS certification
