A leading health system in North Carolina is seeking a Family Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant for a locum tenens assignment at their outpatient Wellness and Nutrition Center in Thomasville. This position is focused on adult primary care with an emphasis on diabetic management.
About the Opportunity:
- Start Date: ASAP
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: 8am to 5pm
- Setting: Outpatient only
- Call: Phone consultations only (rare)
- EMR: EPIC
Responsibilities:
- Managing diabetic and chronic care patients
- Conducting routine exams and follow-ups
- Collaborating with the care team
- Documenting in EPIC
- Performing other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 2+ years of experience in Family Medicine and/or Primary Care
- Active NC or IMLC license
- Valid DEA registration
- Experience managing diabetic patients
- Strong communication and clinical skills
