A top media and technology company needs to hire an IT Operations Engineer to join their team in New York City.
This position requires on site presence 4 days per week in New York City (Midtown).
Responsibilities:
- Maintain servers, applications, software, and cloud systems. While maintaining these systems
- Optimize system performance by monitoring, troubleshooting issues, and scheduling upgrades to maintain a secure and reliable environment.
- Secure mission critical systems by establishing and enforcing policies.
- Implement and deploy changes to production, development, stage, and test environments.
- Ensure that configuration and change management processes are documented accurately.
- Review and respond to security incidents.
- Provide 3rd level support to ServiceDesk & Field Service technicians.
- Document detailed procedures and instructions.
Qualifications:
- 5+ years system administration experience with Windows operating systems.
- 4+ years system administration experience with Microsoft 365 (SharePoint Online, Teams, Exchange Online, Identity)
- 2+ years database administration experience with Microsoft SQL
- Strong understanding of networking concepts
- Experience with ITIL frameworks, change management and release management processes.
- Highly proficient with PowerShell scripting
- Strong knowledge of Windows Servers, Microsoft 365, Exchange Online and Active Directory.
- Experience with Microsoft High-Availability & SQL Clustering.
- Experience with Microsoft DFS, DNS, IIS.
- Experience with ITIL frameworks, change management and release management processes.
