A recognized pharma company in Utah is actively seeking a new Payroll Specialist for a great opportunity with their growing team in Salt Lake City.
***This is a Hybrid opportunity requiring the qualified professional to work onsite at least 3 days a week.***
Responsibilities:
- Manage and process bi-weekly or monthly payroll cycles, including the calculation of wages, overtime, bonuses, and deductions
- Administer employee benefits, including health insurance, retirement plans, and other deductions
- Generate and distribute payroll reports to management, HR, and finance teams as needed
- Prepare payroll-related reports for auditing and compliance purposes
- Maintain accurate and confidential payroll records
- Address employee inquiries related to payroll, tax withholdings, and benefits promptly and professionally
- Identify opportunities to streamline and improve payroll processes, recommending changes and automation when appropriate
Qualifications:
- 6+ months of proven experience as a Payroll Specialist or similar role
- Bachelor's Degree in Finance, Accounting, Human Resources, or a related field
- Strong knowledge of Payroll regulations, Tax laws, and Compliance requirements
- Hands-on experience with Payroll software and systems
- Proficiency in payroll software and Microsoft Excel
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy in data entry and calculations
- Effective communication and problem-solving skills
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and handle sensitive payroll information
