A health services organization in Central Florida is currently seeking a Clinical Pharmacist to join their growing team. In this role, the Pharmacist will be responsible for the smooth and successful operation of the pharmacy and the maintenance of all business-related functions.

About the Opportunity:

  • Schedule: Monday to Friday
  • Hours: 8:00m to 6:00pm

Responsibilities:

  • Medication therapy management, central fill, and/or community pharmacy operations
  • Compounding and dispensing prescribed medications, drugs, and other pharmaceuticals for patient care
  • Appropriately managing and supervising the Pharmacy staff while on duty
  • Following all medication guidelines as well as policies and procedures for receiving, filling, dispensing, logging, maintaining loss prevention, and avoiding diversion for all inventory, including controlled medications
  • Ensuring that pharmacy policies and federal and state laws and regulations in all prescription-related issues are followed, including but not limited to HIPAA, SOPs, QA, and CQI, and 340b regulations
  • Ensuring that all controlled drug policies and procedures, as required by state, federal, and pharmacy guidelines, are followed
  • Actively participating in training and developing new team members on accurate completion of job tasks while on duty
  • Providing mandated counseling on all new and changed therapies on both prescription medications/items and over-the-counter medications/items
  • Answering questions and providing information to pharmacy customers on drug interactions, side effects, dosage, and storage of pharmaceuticals as needed

Qualifications:

  • 1+ years of experience as a Pharmacist in a Community Pharmacy and/or Retail environment
  • Bachelor of Science in Pharmacy or Doctor of Pharmacy degree (PharmD)
  • FL Pharmacist license
  • BLS certification
  • Advanced proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Outlook, PowerPoint)

Desired Skills:

  • Bilingual
  • Experience in a Management role
  • Previous experience in a Federally Qualified Health Center (FQHC) setting
  • 340b experience
