A health services network in New York City is actively seeking a licensed Physical Therapist (PT) to join their growing team in the Bronx on a Part-time basis.
About the Opportunity:
- Shift: Day
- Schedule: Monday to Friday
- Hours: Part-time (20 hours a week)
- Setting: Psychiatric Health Facility
Responsibilities:
- Act as a physical therapy consultant
- Assess and evaluate the client’s condition to develop a physical therapy treatment plan based on a Physician's request
- Review clients’ treatment goals, treatment, and medical history
- Perform and interpret standard muscle, nerve, joint, and functional ability tests
- Administer appropriate physical therapy treatment when indicated
- Prepare documentation of assessment, evaluation, delivery of treatment services, and patient progress for the client's medical record
- Consult with the client's treatment team as needed
- Conduct a brace/shoe clinic as needed, nerve, joint, and functional ability tests
- Administer appropriate physical therapy treatment when indicated
- Evaluate patients for wheelchairs and adaptive equipment
- Maintain a performance improvement program related to structure, process, and outcomes
- Perform other duties, as needed
Qualifications:
- 1+ year of Physical Therapy experience in a Clinical setting
- Active NYS Physical Therapist (PT) license
